Transmitter Operation
1. To operate the transmitter base, slide the antenna tube over the antenna wire until it connects with the base.
2. Plug the included AC adapter into a standard wall outlet. 3. Insert the adapter connector plug firmly into the DC IN jack located on the
rear panel of the transmitter base. 4. To connect virtually any audio source (CD system, radio/cassette player, TV,
DVD, VCR, computer, etc.) to the transmitter base, insert the 3.5mm input audio cable connector into the desired audio device's output jack. 5. A blue POWER indicator illuminates when the AC adapter is plugged in and an audio signal reaches the transmitter. If the indicator does not illuminate,
ensure the adapter is plugged in and the audio source is switched on.Parts Speakers
Battery Operation 1. To operate the speakers using battery power, turn over both speakers and
open the battery compartment covers located underneath. 2. Insert six C alkaline batteries (purchase separately) into each battery compart-
ment, observing proper +/- polarities as indicated. 3. Replace both battery compartment covers. AC Operation 1. To operate the speakers using AC power, plug the included 9V power adapters
into a standard wall outlet. 2. Insert the power adapter connector plugs firmly into the DC IN jacks located
underneath each speaker.

Speaker Operation
1. To switch on the speakers, press the ON/OFF button located on the front panel of each speaker. A blue power LED illuminates. Power may also be switched on from the remote control.
Note: The ON/OFF button on the remote control does not function as the primary power switch for the speakers. To operate the ON/OFF function by remote control, speaker power must be switched ON first. (See Power Off.) 2. To listen to a desired audio source through the speakers, switch on the audio
device that the transmitter base is connected to. The blue LED on the transmitter illuminates. 3. Depending on location, select CHANNEL 1 or 2 on the transmitter base for optimal performance. 4. For optimal reception, ensure the transmitter and speaker receivers are approximately 21 feet apart.
5. To locate the strongest operating frequency, press the AUTO TUNE button located on the front speaker panel. When the Auto Tune function is engaged, frequency scanning begins automatically and stops when a signal is detected. The Auto Tune function may also be activated from the remote control.
6. You should experience interference-free speaker reception during normal room to room or outdoor operation. If interference or poor signal reception occurs, press the AUTO TUNE button located on each speaker once (the blue LED indicator illuminates) to locate the strongest operating frequency.
7. If peak reception remains elusive, switch the CHANNEL setting (1 or 2) on the transmitter base, then press the AUTO TUNE button on the speakers to locate the corresponding frequency.
8. Use the BASS BOOST function to add a fuller bass sound to any audio program. · To switch BASS BOOST on, press the BASS BOOST button. · To switch BASS BOOST off, press the BASS BOOST button again.
8

Speaker Operation
Note: ·When transmitting over long distances, the audio signal becomes weaker and
interference increases. ·If the source signal is too weak for reception, the transmitter automatically
switches off after approximately four minutes to protect the unit and save power. If the source signal returns to an adequate level, the transmitter automatically switches back on.
Remote Control
The remote control can be used to operate speaker Power, Auto Tune and Volume functions. 1. To operate the speakers using the remote control, turn the remote over and
open the battery compartment cover located underneath. 2. Insert two AAA alkaline batteries (purchase separately) into the battery com-
partment, observing proper +/- polarities as indicated. 3. Replace battery compartment cover. Note: The ON/OFF button on the remote control does not function as the primary power switch for the speakers. To operate the ON/OFF function by remote control, speaker power must be switched on first. (See Power Off.)
Power Off
To switch off power, press the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the speakers. The LED light turns off. Power may also be switched off from the remote control. When you use the remote control to power off, the speaker will switch to Standby mode for five minutes. The LED changes from blue to green. To switch speaker power on during Standby mode, press the ON/OFF button on the remote control. If no signal is detected from the remote control for five minutes, the speakers automatically switch off. If the transmitter detects no signal for approximately 4 minutes, the unit switches off automatically.
Volume Control
