Operation
Notes: Before testing, insert a 9V battery (not included) and ensure the cable being tested is not yet connected to the tester. Do not test live cables or any cable connected to an active device. Cables should be directly connected to the Master Unit and then to the Remote Unit.
Testing
Simply connect the desired cable to the unit, then switch the Sweep/OFF/ Continuity button to "Continuity" for sync testing, or "Sweep" for step-bystep testing. Note: During sync testing, all LEDs illuminate on the wire map at once. During step-bystep testing, the LEDs will illuminate one at a time.
When testing uninstalled patch cable, you can leave the Main Tester and Remote Identifier connected.
When testing installed cable, you will need to remove the Remote Identifier from the Main Tester. Connect one end of the cable to the appropriate connector on the Main Tester, and the other end of the cable to the appropriate connector on the Remote Identifier. Note: Upon switching to the desired testing mode, the LEDs on the Main Tester and Remote Identifier will illuminate to indicate the results.
If testing HDMI A-to-A cables, use "A pin" side numbers found on both the Main Tester and Remote Identifier. For HDMI A-to-C and C-to-C cables, use "C pin" side numbers found on both the Main Tester and Remote Identifier.

Detecting Connections
Note: This product is designed to test cable lengths up to 164 ft. (50 m). When a cable connection from both ends is detected, the LEDs will illuminate. Listed below are detected connection examples with diagrams showing which pins should illuminate for each connection type. Note: When no connection is detected between the connectors of the cable being tested, the LEDs will not illuminate
Straight (Proper) Connection
When all LEDs illuminate on both the Master and Remote units, the cable is properly wired and ready to install/use.

Detecting Connections

Crossed Connection
If the wires inside the cable are out of order or crossed, the LEDs on the Remote Identifier will illuminate to show in what order they are wired. For example, in the diagram below, when the Master unit shows pin 14 illuminated, pin 19 on the Remote unit will illuminate, indicating those connections are crossed.
Note: Crossed connections cannot be tested in "Continuity" mode.

Operación

No pruebe cables activos o cualquier cable conectado a un dispositivo activo. Los cables deben conectarse directamente a la Unidad Maestra y luego a la Unidad Remota.
Prueba

Fonctionnement
Remarques :
Avant de procéder à un test, insérer une batterie de 9 V (non incluse), puis s'assurer que le câble testé n'est pas encore connecté au testeur.
Ne pas tester les câbles sous tension ou les câbles connectés à un dispositif sous tension. Les câbles doivent être connectés directement à l'appareil maître, puis à l'appareil à distance.
Essai
Raccorder simplement le câble concerné à l'appareil, puis mettre le bouton Sweep/OFF/Continuity à « Continuity » pour synchroniser le test ou à « Sweep » pour un test étape par étape. Remarque : Pendant un test de synchronisation, tous les voyants à DEL s'allument en même temps sur le schéma de câblage. Pendant un test étape par étape, les voyants à DEL s'allumeront un à la fois.
Au moment d'effectuer un test sur un cordon de raccordement non installé, le testeur principal et le testeur à distance peuvent rester connectés.
Lors du test d'un câble installé, le testeur à distance devra être retiré du testeur principal. Raccorder une extrémité du câble au connecteur approprié sur le testeur principal et l'autre extrémité du câble au connecteur approprié sur le testeur à distance. Remarque : Au moment de passer au mode de test voulu, les voyants à DEL sur le testeur principal et le testeur à distance s'allumeront pour indiquer les résultats.
Pour tester des câbles HDMI A à A, utiliser le numéro du côté « broche A » qui se trouvent sur le testeur principal et le testeur à distance. Pour les câbles HDMI A à C et C à C, utiliser les numéros du côté « broche C » qui se trouvent sur le testeur principal et le testeur à distance.

Remarque : Ce produit est conçu pour tester des longueurs de câble pouvant atteindre jusqu'à 50 m (164 pi). Lorsqu'une connexion de câble aux deux extrémités est détectée, les voyants à DEL s'allumeront. Ci-dessous se trouvent des exemples de connexions détectées avec des schémas indiquant quelles broches devraient s'allumer pour chaque type de connexion. Connexion croisée

Si les fils à l'intérieur du câble sont brisés ou croisés, les voyants à DEL sur le testeur à distance s'allumeront pour indiquer dans quel ordre ils sont câblés. Par exemple, dans le schéma ci-dessous, lorsque l'appareil principal indique la broche 14 allumée, la broche 19 sur l'appareil à distance s'allumera, indiquant que ces connexions sont croisées.

Remarque : Les connexions croisées ne peuvent pas être testées en mode « Continuity ».
