CLEANING YOUR OVEN
To keep your oven looking and working its best, it’s important to keep it clean and dry. Follow our simple cleaning guidelines to prevent food residue and condensation from causing damage to the oven.
What you’ll need
End-of-Day Wipe Down
Repeat: Daily Time needed: <5 minutes Tools and materials: Soft, dry cloth; dishwashing liquid; tap water (*Note* Do NOT use harsh detergents or abrasives.)
Outside surface
Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Note: If the protective film is still attached to the control panel, it is no longer needed (it prevents scratches during shipping) and can be removed by applying masking or clear tape to an exposed corner and pulling gently
Oven door (inside and outside)
Wipe with a soft dry cloth when steam accumulates inside or around the outside of the oven door. During cooking, especially under high humidity conditions, steam is given off from the food, and some steam may condense; this is normal. The inside surface is covered with a heat and vapor barrier film—do not remove.
Interior surfaces
Combine warm water and a drop of dishwashing liquid to make a warm, sudsy solution. Dampen the cloth, wring out the excess solution, and wipe down all of the following interior surfaces. To prevent damage to the operating parts inside the oven, water should not be allowed to seep into ventilation openings.
- Label: Do not remove.
- Oven cavity: Wipe down vent openings, oven seams, and especially the cavity floor under the glass tray.
- Wave guide cover: This is a small cover panel on the right side of the oven’s interior—wipe it down, and do not remove it.
- Glass tray and roller ring: Remove and wash in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher. Roller Ring may be washed in mild soapy water or dishwasher. These areas should be kept clean to avoid excessive noise.
